why vegan?
What is veganism, why you should go vegan and how to do it!
“Going vegan is the best life decision that I have ever made.”
“Veganism is a way of living which seeks to exclude, as far as is possible and practicable, all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose.” - The Vegan Society
Why Vegan?
By living vegan, you reduce an enormous amount of suffering and murder and no longer contribute to the animal holocaust (animal agriculture). Most people are against animal abuse, however are disconnected from the individual who was abused and murdered for their meat, dairy and egg products. These industries thrive in secrecy because if the public were aware of the mass abuse and murder farmed animals are subjected to, there would be outrage. It is important to watch the documentaries Dominion Movement, Seaspiracy, and the Land of Hope and Glory to witness the animal holocaust for yourself.
Standard industry practices include forcing six month old pigs into CO2 gas chambers, macerating baby male chicks on their first day of life in the egg industry, raping cows and separating and murdering babies in the dairy industry.
The meat, dairy and egg industries use misleading labelling and language to advertise their animal products to fool consumers into believing that they are purchasing cruelty free products, when in fact they are paying for blatant exploitation and murder. Examples of these marketing lies include “humane”, “free range”, “cage free” and “RSPCA approved”. Most of these terms often do not align with what they actually mean, as there is no legal framework as to what these terms define. Many people are oblivious to the fact that their “free range” and “RSPCA approved” animal products come from an animal that lived in abhorrent conditions and was brutally murdered.
Regardless of the conditions an animal may be raised in, they are still abused and murdered for their flesh and secretions. Animals from meat, dairy and egg farms are all sent to murder factories to be shot in the head, electrocuted or gassed. The term humane slaughter is an oxymoron; you can not humanely take the life of an animal who wants to live.
Veganism is about the animals and is a moral choice to not participate in animal abuse and murder, however, there are other benefits to going vegan as well. The consumption of animal products is a leading cause of a number of environmental catastrophes such as climate change, deforestation and wildlife extinction. Researchers at the University of Oxford found that cutting meat and dairy products from your diet could reduce your carbon footprint from food by up to 73 per cent.
A plant based diet can also have significant health benefits, particularly a whole food plant based diet, which has been found to be the only diet known to prevent and even reverse disease. Humans can thrive and survive on a plant based diet, and all leading Dietetic Associations across the world confirm that a plant based diet is healthy at all stages of life.
If you can live happily and healthily without harming others, why wouldn’t you?
How to go Vegan
Witness the animal holocaust yourself, and then stop paying people to rape, torture, abuse and murder babies to consume their flesh and their mothers breastmilk and ovulations. Go to YouTube and see Dominion. Veganism is an inaction, it’s simply not contributing to abuse and murder anymore.
There is an abundance of vegan alternatives in the supermarkets, so you will find that going vegan is a lot easier than you expected. It can certainly feel overwhelming to remove all animal products from your diet and lifestyle, however it just takes time to adjust. Some people like myself went vegan overnight, whilst others gradually reduce their intake of animal products. Gradually reducing animal product consumption is like gradually reducing child abuse or racism - it should be abolished from your life immediately. There is absolutely no excuse to continue abusing and murdering animals once you know the truth.
Replace the animal abuse product with a vegan alternative. For example, you could start by removing chicken flesh from your diet and replace that with vegan “chicken” or a protein rich food like chickpeas. Then you could start replacing raped mothers breastmilk products with plant based milks, vegan ice creams, cheeses, yoghurts etc.
There is a plant based alternative for almost every food type, so you definitely won’t be missing out on anything; in fact you will probably discover a whole new world of foods that you may have never tried before!
