My childhood.

I grew up with a strong passion for nature, particularly marine life. As a child I would spend a lot of time in the outdoors, swimming with dolphins, snorkelling, surfing and camping. My childhood dream was to become a marine biologist and I was always closely connected to nature and animals.

Veganism

I became vegan overnight when I was 23, after watching the documentary, Food Choices. From that moment I knew that I would never support such violent and cruel industries again. I became passionate very quickly and wanted everyone to know the truth. I began to use social media to bring light to these atrocities and I created an animal rights clothing brand, V-gan Clan. Soon after, I became involved in animal rights groups such as Anonymous for the Voiceless, The Save Movement and Direct Action Everywhere. This soon lead me to the form of individual disruptive activism that I do today.

Activism

One day, an activist friend and myself came up with a random last minute idea for her to dress in a cow onesie, with a sign saying “Watch Dominion”. We went into the local supermarkets to make a video of her mourning the bodies in the flesh section. The video went viral and gained international media attention. That is when I realised the power of solo activism and creative protests. We went out again one month later to do a similar action and that's when I began to speak up loudly to everyone. I knew that I would always speak out for the non humans as I’d want to be spoken for if I were in their situation. Shortly after, I came up with the idea to dress as a slaughterhouse worker and became more and more disruptive in my activism style.
